New Armenia rep. responds to Minister of Culture (video)
The Minister of Culture had better care for Liberty Square when attractions are built there, when different types of equipment work there and when people ride bicycles and cars at the square, Gevorg Safaryan, e member of the New Armenia Public Salvation Front, told A1+. Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan today said that tent erection damages the monuments at the square. “It is evident that there has been a political order to hinder this rally and we clearly see the efforts of the Municipality, Police and already the Minister of Culture. The police say we are criminals, Minister of Culture considers us vandals, all state agencies involved in discrediting the opposition,” he said. In the end, the activist reminded that the name of the square suggests that it is a symbol of freedom and independence for Armenians.
