Amulsar to be exploited (video)
In spring of next year the activities of exploitation of Amulsar gold mine will be launched, Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan announced it at the Government sitting by informing that for the implementation of the project the financial and investment groups of “Lydian International” Ltd have taken commitment for investing USD 325 million. The International Financial Corporation and Reconstruction and Development Bank will also make financial investments. As a result, in general, the investments will amount to USD 460-480 million. According to the words of Karen Chshmarityan, annually 12-14 tons of gold will be produced in Armenia, the production of gold bars will also become efficient. About 1500 people will be engaged in the construction. Minister of Economy predicts that during the upcoming days “Lydian International” Ltd will make a relevant statement. Karen Chshmarityan also touched upon foreign direct investments.
