Zaruhi Postanjya: I regret that you take the words uttered by a man like Shmayis so seriously
During today’s parliamentary briefings, Armenian lawmaker Zaruhi Postanjyan spoke about the activities of the Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the recent anti-Armenian report adopted by the structure. “It would be better if our delegation worked harder and more diligently but our delegates cannot be separated from the institute in charge of foreign diplomacy.” Many in Armenia and Karabakh consider the adoption of an anti-Armenian report entitled Escalation of Violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and Other Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan” by Robert Walter (United Kingdom, EC), a rapporteur of the PACE committee, as and unacceptable and say it does not give a neutral assessment of the situation. Zaruhi Postanjyan also commented on the statement of Republican lawmaker Manvel Badeyan who announced earlier this week that Postanjyan had spoken in favour of bloodshed during her interview at the US Embassy in Armenia. “I regret that you can take the words uttered by a man like Manvel Badeyan (aka Shmayis) so seriously.”
