There aren’t plans as such in the EEU, there are the interests of Armenia, Vache Gabrielyan, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms, told the journalists during the briefing at the NA by touching upon the appointment of former Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan as Chairmen of the EEU Economic Committee and his future actions.
As for the rumors that the appointment of Tigran Sargsyan is connected with the shift to a single currency, in particular ruble zone, in the EEU territory, Mr. Gabrielyan said, “I don’t subscribe to such a version.”
In reply to the question whether the western views of Tigran Sargsyan will not hinder his activities in the EEU, Vache Gabrielyan answered, “I don’t think that his views can somehow affect his activities in the EEU, as he is professional in carrying out his obligations.”
