The campaign ads of the “No” front focus on the idea that everyone is saying ‘no’ to the new Constitution proposed by Serzh Sargsyan. Though the ads show other officials, the main character is Serzh Sargsyan who is exhausted and confused and voters are supposed to stop his sufferings. One can also hear the observations of great people on the Armenian authorities who are changing the country’s Organic Law. “No” is the answer to numerous crimes and offences, it is the only word to confront crimes. “No” campaigners did not forget about the police and their ‘heroic acts’ against Armenian citizens. The “Yes” camp has four ads. The first one tells the prehistory of constitutional amendments – starting from “Datastanagirk” (Code of Law) and “Vorogayt Parats” (Snare of Glory). Under that Constitution, it was Shamir Shamiryan who first spoke about the advantages of the parliamentary system. Serzh Sargsyan is the second person to emphasize the model of the parliamentary government. Then comes Serzh Sargsyan’s famous photo session with different political forces. Everyone is happy with the constitutional changes. The second ad tells about the Armenian Army: if the Constitution does not change, the army will remain without weapons. One will not see ordinary citizens or unemployed people in the ads of the “Yes” camp. All are lawmakers, heads of political parties, doctors or other specialists…
