Members of the “Yes” and “No” reality show today visited Pemzashen community in Shirak marz where met with residents and talked about the planned constitutional changes. “What is the use of coming here and tormenting us if you are going to rig the elections anyway? You should do everything to avert electoral fraud,” said one of the villagers. A few steps away, a young man was talking to a group of people and explaining to them the consequences of the new constitution. “Let me explain how the illegitimate authorities will extend their power after the adoption of the Constitution. Serzh Sargsyan cannot be elected for a third term but he does not want to cede power to anyone else because his successor will make him accountable for the sins, frauds and crimes committed. In fact, a parliamentary system of government proposed by the new Constitution is not a bad model but it cannot work in Armenia. We have seen fake opposition parties many times. It is not excluded that we might have a fake opposition in parliament which will approve all decisions made by the government,” he said.
