Opposition lawmaker Levon Zurabyan has responded to the statement of the Minister of Education and Science who said Zurabyan does not have evidence to accuse him of involving schools in the Yes campaign in constitutional referendum. “We pay regular visits to villages, and you cannot find a single community where school principals are not involved in the campaign. Everyone is speaking about it. Let him tour villages and talk to people. That is the best proof,” Zurabyan said. Speaking about Minister Armen Ashotyan’s claims that ‘the Armenian National Congress (HAK) is advertising him,’ Zurabyan said, “If he considers my accusations and statements that he [Ashotyan] is committing a crime by preventing people from exercising their electoral right as an advertisement, I shall always ensure that ad for him.” Zurabyan says the fact that Armen Ashotyan is the host of a debate show on Public Television is a violation of the law. “He is violating the principles of impartiality with his appearance on the program,” he said.
