Alexander Manasyan: “We must be alert”
Political expert Alexander Manasyan is indifferent to Republican lawmaker Levon Martirosyan’s statement on the concession of the liberated territories of Nagorno Karabakh. “Such statements are like statements of Gorbochov, which may be interpreted in this or that way. Such political statements leave a place for surrender, check moods of the people,” the political expert told the journalists. As for the terror attacks in Paris, Alexander Manasyan doesn’t exclude that such terror attacks may occur also in other countries of the EU and also in the RF, “Terror attacks may occur anywhere where they succeed. We must be alert.” As for constitutional amendments referendum and campaign, Alexander Manasyan thinks that more scientific-analytical programs connected with this topic must be shown in the media, “Formulas flying in the air are simply preaching and baseless, though they must aim at spreading competitive democratic principles, establishing new political culture, solving the contradictions, which are present in our society and are global.” He has got acquainted with new Constitution and is optimistic, “The main argument, which is discussed little, is the presidential elections, which make the RA an active zone for foreign countries. It doesn’t occur during the NA elections. The main privilege of the constitutional amendments is that it can exclude those shocks, on the other hand, the people gain experience of new political life and new culture.” According to the predictions of the political expert, if there is parliamentary system of government, then there will be a struggle between the projects of the parties.
