This is clownery: Nikolay Tsaturyan about constitutional referendum
People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia, Director Nikolay Tsaturyan will not participate in the December 6 constitutional referendum on Armenia's switch to the parliamentary system of government. Talking to A1+, the director said he did not support the “Yes” or “No” camp. “I belong to my team,” Mr Tsaturyan said. “I do not participate in elections and never go to the polls to vote for someone. I am not a clown for them and I shall not allow them to do whatever they want with my vote. Let them do what they want but without me.” Asked about the purpose of the constitutional amendments, Mr Tsaturyan said, “It has specific goals and you know them very well, everyone is speaking about them. That is why I do not want to participate in the referendum as I do not trust them. Have they fulfilled their constitutional obligations to adopt a new constitution? This is clownery,” he said.
