As there is no work, they need money and they say that those people pay well.” According to the historian, during this period, overall 60 Armenians have been killed in Syria. “50 Armenians have been killed in the cities, and 10 people have been killed during military service.” In reply to the question whether Syrian Armenians will remain in Armenia or will return to Syria, Mr. Yazichyan noted, “The majority settled here from patriotic motives and also from having no prospect in Syria anymore. Another part prefers Turkey, there must have been such people, of course. And there are Syrian Armenians, who are waiting for their visas to move to other countries.”
