Hunger strike continues in Vardashen prison
After retired army colonel Volodya Avetisyan had stopped hunger strike, other three prisoners- Gegham Asatryan, Hovsep Terteryan and Paylak Khanamiryan also stopped the hunger strike. Gor Ghlechyan, spokesman for the Justice Ministry’s Penitentiary Department told A1+. Still three prisoners fighting against the activities of the independent committee continue their hunger strike in Vardashen prison. As Gor Ghlechyan informs the prisoners don’t want their names to be known. To remind, Volodya Avetisyan, who was sentenced to 6 years’ imprisonment on fraud charges stopped the hunger strike on Monday. Hunger strike lasted 11 days. His friends and Commander of Shushi special battalion Jirayr Sefilyan had urged him to stop the hunger strike. Volodya Avetisyan was protesting against the activities of the independent committee.
