Armenia spends 6-7 thousand times more on official vehicles than European countries
During the discussion on the draft budget for 2016 in the Armenian National Assembly on November 3, Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan said on a total of 1072 cars are used to serve the legislative, executive and judicial authorities. The cars are purchased and operated at the expense of Armenian taxpayers. Isn’t it luxury for a country like Armenia? To understand the difference let us compare Armenia withother countries. After a long search on the Internet we were able to find information about two countries – the UK and Denmark. It turns out that 190 cars serve officials in the United Kingdom and 23 in Denmark. Denmark's nominal GDP was estimated to be $ 335 billion dollars, with the total population in the country reaching 5.6 million people. The UK has a population of 64 million and a budget of $ 2.7 trillion.
