Armen Martirosyan: As opposition we cannot act apart (video)
Serzh Sargsyan is forced to change the Constitution by the international community and fighting citizens, Hraryr Manukyan, a member of “You Won’t Pass It” initiative said during today’s rally against the planned constitutional changes. “The aim is to change the Constitution by establishing anti-constitutional order,” he said. Varujan Avetisyan, a member of the Founding Parliament, added that after the adoption of the new constitution elections be become a formal phenomenon, which is unacceptable. “The constitutional referendum is both a reason and an occasion for the true opposition to unite, consolidate people and restore the constitutional order in the country,” he said. Vice-chairman of the Heritage Party, Armen Martirosyan, refutes the opinion that the opposition is not united in the fight against the constitutional reform. “Whether we want it or not, we must be united because very few opposition figures have remained in the arena and as true opposition we cannot act apart.” The opposition figure says as usual the authorities will attempt to rig the referendum, forcing them [the opposition] to take drastic steps. “We believe that starting December 1 we must take combined actions and struggle until we overthrow the regime,” he said.
