Republican lawmaker: No camp cannot achieve success (video)
Republican lawmaker Vahram Mkrtchyan is convinced that the No front which is campaigning against the draft constitution cannot achieve success. “It does not matter whether they have a united or separated camp they will not succeed in their endeavours as our people are wise and will not stay away from the cooperative society designed for them,” he said. He is convinced that on December 6 Armenians should say “yes” to the amended constitution since the new constitution puts emphasis on a collective and parties, rather than on a person. Speaking about the concerns that about 320,000 citizens in Armenia have ID cards and can carry double voting, Mr Mkrtchyan said there are 182 000 such citizens. “The current Electoral Code does not leave any margins, ID cards and passports imply the same risks,” he added.
