But for the policemen, no one approached the people gathered in front of the Government building (video)
In spite of the rainy weather, a protest action is being held in front of the Government building with different demands: from the issue of flats to payment of pensions. The residents of Yekmalyan 4-16 buildings are demanding their former flats. Still 10 years ago they signed an agreement according to which they must have received flats in the area of their former houses, but until today they are in the streets. The residents decided to close the street, but they changed their mind after the policemen had persuaded them. Former employees of “Nairit” plant are also in front of the Government building: they are demanding to reopen the plant and to repay the fines and penalties. The pilots with disabilities are demanding their unpaid pensions. But for the policemen, no one approached the people gathered in front of the Government building. Earlier, when the Human rights defender Karen Andreasyan was entering the government building, Mrs. Emma, a resident from the city of Kapan, whose son has been considered missing for 4 years and 6 months, asked the Ombudsman to listen to her. She was saying that her son was killed by the persons, who are known by the law enforcement authorities, but they are not taking steps in order to reveal the crime.
