Why does the plan of regime change seem unrealistic to people? (video)
Is it possible to change power in several days and thwart a referendum on constitutional amendments? Even supporters of the No camp understand that the plan of regime change is perceived as unrealistic by different segments of society. Armen Martirosyan, a senior representative of the opposition Heritage party, knows the reasons for this perception. “The first reason is that few opposition figures are left in the field. You saw how the authorities drew the oppositionists to their side. Those who announced themselves to be opposition forces have stood aside and their ‘no’ is equal to saying ‘yes,’” Mr Martirosyan said. People should participate in the constitutional referendum saying ‘no’ to the amended constitution. This is the opinion of the “You Won’t Pass It,” a pressure group that formed this summer pledging to try to thwart Serzh Sargsyan’s initiative.
