HRD office is in deadlock (video)
Human rights defender will not apply to the Constitutional Court in order to prevent the referendum of the constitutional amendments set on December 6. HRD refused the offer of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor office. Yet only it, according to Human rights defender Artur Sakunts, will prevent from putting to a referendum such a document, which limits human rights. The HRD office assures that they are in deadlock. They also see problematic provisions in respect of defense of human rights in the draft constitutional amendments, but they can only express their opinion on the issue. Nevertheless, Artur Sakunts sees a political approach on the basis of this refusal. More in the video
