Lifers at Nubarashen prison stop hunger strike
Spokesperson for the Armenia’s Justice Ministry wrote on her Facebook page that about 50 life-termers, who started an open-ended hunger strike in Nubarashen prison last week, have stopped their hunger strike. On October 12, 55 inmates of the prison started a hunger strike demanding that their cases be reviewed. They also wrote a letter to Serzh Sargsyan presenting their demand there. In particular, the lifers said after struggling for their rights and having no other opinion, they declared a hunger strike and were ready to take any measures to highlight the problem.
