The meaning of life of 84-year-old Gurgen Ter Avagyan, who is a poet, translator, musician and specialist in radio-electronics, is his professions. He was one of the leading employees of the Mergelyan Institute. He is an author of three inventions, but today he lives on AMD 47.000 pension and AMD 17.000 benefit. Grandfather Gurgen is proud of his family tree. His grandfather was the priest of Andranik’s detachment and participated in all the battles. His father was a Dashnak, for which he was expelled from Armenia. Gurgen was born in place of exile. Gurgen Ter Avagyan became a member of “Mission Armenia” charitable organization. The nurse and the social employee visit and help him in different issues. For the rest of time the man is alone, only the works of Saroyan and Narekatsi are with him.
