Peaceful night after intense shelling: Villagers account it for Armenia's 'adequate response'
The situation was relatively calm this night in the border village of Baghanis in Armenia’s Tavush marz, Head of the community Narek Sahakyan wrote on his Facebook page. “Villagers’ mood is directly proportional to the situation on the border. We had a relatively calmer night and we wish you all good morning and good day,” Mr Sahakyan wrote on his status. Three Armenian civilians were killed and two others wounded on Thursday evening when their border villages came under fire from nearby Azerbaijani army positions. Shushan Asatryan, 94, and Sona Revazyan, 41, were killed in Berdavan village, the third victim, Paytsar Aghajanyan, 83, was from Paravakar village. The situation is also calm in Noyemberyan following yesterday’s shelling by Azerbaijan. The locals say the reason is the response of the Armenian side.
