According to today’s decision of the government, the Ministry of Culture will be allocated 5 million AMD for the organization of an event by the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet dedicated to  the 24th anniversary of declaration of the RA Independence. This was confirmed at today’s Government session. “No event will be held inside our theatre,” deputy artistic director of the Theatre Hrach Grigoryan told “A1+”. He noted that an open-air concert is expected in the territory of Opera. “It is for September 20 “Jazz parking” inside Opera and September 21 open-air concerts,” explained Deputy Minister of Culture Arthur Poghosyan. It turns out that earlier the Ministry of Culture was allocated 22.5 million AMD for organizing Independence Day celebrations of this year. The Deputy Minister noted that they have been preparing for the events for about two months, “Simply there had been a shortage of money, that’s why the Government provided extra-money.” In reply to the question, whether it isn’t much for only this event when there are many social problems in the country, Mr. Poghosyan said, “Of course, 27.5 million AMD isn’t much, if we take into consideration how much is needed for an open-air concert. It is our number one holiday for the republic and the society. We should save money during every event, but I think that it isn’t much.”
