Mothers should sing national lullabies for their babies (video)
21 lullabies of different ages in one CD. The idea of collecting lullabies from folklore to modern composers’ lullabies belongs to Hrant and Sabet married couple, “It is very important that a baby listens to those songs from cradle, a child should listen to pure music, a baby doesn’t understand the lyrics, but the sound can educate a child’s soul,” says producer of the CD, director Hrant Vardanyan. Lullaby is the child’s first contact with art, so the right approach is important, “The first precondition we set was that the singer must be mother to sing like mother, so we chose Anahit Papayan.” A booklet with lyrics and notes is attached to “Armenian Lullaby Gems” CD. It was specially done by the authors so that mothers can learn the national lullabies and sing them for their babies.
