New domain in national language- “.հայ” (video)
“In the upcoming months it will be possible to enter “.հայ” domain on the Internet,” notes “Internet society” NGO Board member Liana Galstyan in the interview with “A1+”. She says that at present the company is accepting applications from those, who want to have a domain with Armenian letters. “At present applications are being accepted and only the owners of brands registered in Armenia can take part in it. If you present the company name and the brand and if the documents are appropriate and reliable, you pay 5000 AMD, after which you will be given a domain name. It means that still there will be no registration, it is the phase of registering the applications.” According to Liana Galstyan, by this step Armenia is joining the countries, which already have domains in national languages, “We are following international trends. One of such countries is Russia, where the experiment is successfully carried out.” Details in the video
