Actor Vardan Petrosyan has submitted to the "Vardashen" PI his employment contract and is now waiting for approval to be able to go to work, Petrosyan’s lawyer Nikolay Baghdasaryan told A1+. “The contract is in line with internal regulations, and now we are waiting for their decision. If Vardan Petrosyan gets permission, he will go to work starting tomorrow,” said the lawyer. If the penitentiary approves the contract, Vardan Petrosyan will star working for a production company housed inside the Theatre after Hakob Paronyan. Vardan Petrosyan was taken to jail in connection with the deadly road accident in October 2013 in which his BMW collided with another vehicle, Niva, on Yeghvard-Yerevan highway. Two passengers of the Niva were killed in the crash. Petrosyan himself was among the injured people who were hospitalized that night. The actor later declared that he would not run away from justice and was ready to bear responsibility if found guilty as charged. Last week, a court in Yerevan decided that the beloved artist may serve the rest of his five-year prison sentence in a so-called open detention regime, which means he is going to spend the day with his family and go back to custody for the night. Petrosyan has already served a term for about two years. He was then transferred from the Nubarashen prison to the Vardashen.
