V. Avetisyan: “Guys, support all the forces, who rebel against the authorities” (video)
Today “In support of Volodya Avetisyan” initiative has started an open-ended sit-in at Liberty Square. The demand- immediately release Volodya Avetisyan and other “political prisoners”. Member of the initiative Gagik Sarukhanyan told “A1+”, “We have started the sit-in as he appeared in a prison unlawfully and he must be immediately released.” According to Mr. Sarukhanyan, they also bring forward another important issue- to reorganize the struggle, “Recently the issue of Volodya Avetisyan has been overshadowed. This protest proves that the struggle continues. New citizens turn to us and it is also an opportunity to come and to become involved, maybe new strategy will be developed.” Gagik Sarukhanyan doesn’t share the viewpoint that the struggle for the freedom of Volodya Avetisyan has stopped. The initiative is also ready to support the movements, which are against the current authorities, “We will still decide how to continue. Raising a social issue isn’t actual anymore, as we understood that they simply don’t want to do it. They adopted a law on Yerkrapah, but why on Yerkrapah and not on freedom fighter? We see that they do not care about any process.” Gagik Sarukhanyan talked to Volodya Avetisyan, “I repeat his words: Guys, support all the forces, who rebel against current criminal authorities, if not directly, we should defend morally. It is time all the forces, movements and political views were put aside and started a process of consolidation,” he notes.
