Demolition of house and garage suspended
Demolition of a private house and garage belonging to Yerevan citizen Yulia Zakaryan has been suspended, lawyer Nikolay Baghdasaryan told A1+ Company. He says the reasons for the decision are still unknown. Earlier, the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Justice warned Yulia Zakaryan that the house and the garage built in Abovyan street would be pulled down on July 27 as they were ‘unauthorized’ construction. JACES representatives did not even pay attention to the lawyer who stated that both the house and garage are legal structures. The process began in 1999 when developer Vladimir Mangasaryan signed an agreement [with one of the residents], promising to provide the family with four flats and four garages if they agreed to vacate the area. However, when the construction began, it became clear that one of the two apartments given to him belonged to another person.
