NSS Head Gorik Hakobyan: “There is no confidence in the authorities” (video)
While Nairit employees are holding a protest in front of the government building, at the beginning of government session Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan addressed a question to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan, “We have transferred the money, I don’t understand why Nairit employees have gathered again.” Zakharyan responded that the debt is 5 billion 310 million drams and just at the moment they are able to pay the money, “The problem is that we have promised to pay wholly today, but a number of employees sent letters of complaint, that their salaries had been calculated incorrectly. We can solve this problem in 1-2 days. There are also problems connected with documentation. We are ready to pay after solving problems with documentation. This process can last 10-15 days. But Nairit employees demand to pay the whole salary, and it will last until the end of the month.” Explanations of Zakharyan angered Prime Minister, “You are explaining very complicated, say, that those, who don’t have any complaints, can receive their salaries starting from today.” Then Head of the NSS Gorik Hakobyan made a speech. The latter said that there is no confidence in the authorities and that guarantees must be given that the whole salaries will be really paid. Yervand Zakharyan responded that if Nairit employees are ready to wait until the end of the month, they will get the whole salary, if not, starting from today, those, who don’t have any complaints, will start receiving their salaries.
