Electricity tariff and Russian lies: animated video (video)
On June 17, 2015 the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia decided to raise electricity tariff, as a result of which it became the highest in the CIS. On June 19 all day protests against that decision started in Yerevan, which, to put it mildly, received a strange response in the Russian media. A number of facts about the Armenian energy system are presented in the video, in light of which the high tariff becomes even more incomprehensible. Besides, the video shows the examples of misinformation in the Russian media and discusses why those lies were spread. “Union of Informed Citizens”
