Armen Yeritsyan: My prime minister does not have LNG filling station
My prime minister does not have a liquefied natural gas (LNG) station, Armen Yeritsyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, told reporters after a government sitting today. This came after journalists asked the minister about LNG stations belonging to Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and former leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), embattled tycoon Gagik Tsarukyan. “Tsarukyan may have [LNG stations], I do not know and I am not interested,” Mr Yeritsyan said. Speaking about the recent series of the explosions at the filling stations, the minister said they conduct regular inspections there. He added that employees of LNG stations violate safety rules, trying to fill more gas than it is permitted and it leads to occurrences. Speaking about the June 23 crackdown on activists protesting the rise in electricity prices on Baghramyan Avenue, the former deputy police chief said the police performed their task very successfully.
