Will protesters camped in Baghramyan Avenue and Liberty Square unite again? Answer will be known in the evening (video)
Over 15-20 activists stayed at Liberty Square overnight, Vaghinak Shushanyan of the No to Plunder Initiative, the main organizer of the protests against the rising electricity prices in Armenia, told reporters today. Shushanyan did not stay at the square. He was taken home as he felt unwell. The activist says though he has been in Baghramyan Avenue today, he will spend the rest of the day at the square. Asked how he was received by protesters in Baghramyan Avenue, Shushanyan said ‘I am not a traitor to be received coldly.’ The initiative again rallies supporters at Liberty Square at 6pm to inform people about their future steps. During the meeting, it will become known whether the activists will join the protesters in Baghramyan or stay at the square. Shushanyan added that they decided to continue the rally at Liberty Square because of ‘unwanted political fermentation’ there.
