Vladimir Gasparyan: You do not know what the use of force means
Minutes ago, Chief of the Armenian Police Vladimir Gasparyan said on Baghramyan Avenue that his logic prompts him that after Serzh Sargsyan’s statement protesters will go home. However, people are shouting “cancellation.” They demand that the PSRC decision to raise electricity prices by 6.93 drams be revoked. Mr Gasparyan says they will carry out explanatory work with people if they again decide to stay on the avenue. Then addressing journalists, he added, “You do not know what the use of force means. We did not apply force on that day [June 23].” When asked about additional equipment spotted in the territory of Liberty Square, Mr Gasparyan said, “I am doing what I like.”
