Lawmaker of the opposition Heritage party Zaruhi Postanjyan says sooner or later protesters will open Baghramyan Avenue but before that, she says, citizens should close all streets and squares in Armenia making the authorities satisfy their demand and cancel the decision of the Public Services Regulatory Commission to raise the current electricity tariff by 6,93 drams. “First, all police officers and those who issue illegal orders should come and stand before people for us to know who the people that use violence against a child are. We should know them by sight. We should see these people punished,” the lawmaker told A1+. She says the avenue will be opened again after the electricity tariffs are brought down and the management system of the Electric networks of Armenia CJSC is recovered again. Won’t the authorities and the police interfere with the protests until then? “It is not important what they want. It is important what people want. It is also important that citizens continue to present their demands until they achieve success,” she said.
