Day three: Activists hold march to Baghramyan Avenue
Thousands of civil activists and citizens have regrouped and gathered again at Liberty Square in Yerevan for an awareness campaign against rising electricity prices in the country. Talking to A1+, Armen Mkrtchyan, a member of the Hayazn Party, said he believes Wednesday will be decisive for the protesters. He believes that the authorities cannot resist the struggle for a long time. Chanting “No to Plunder,” “We shall not pay a single penny more,” citizens are now heading to Baghramyan Avenue to join their friends who are staging a sit-in there. The number of the protesters keeps growing on the way. Today they are not accompanied by police officers today. In the meantime, young activists were dancing and singing patriotic songs on Baghramyan Avenue.
