Our sambo wrestlers to fight for bronze medals in Baku
Armenian sambo wrestlers will fight for bronze medals in the First European Games in Baku. In the 57 kg weight category, Tigran Kirakosyan lost to Russian Aymergen Atkunov. But Kirakosyan will fight for the third prize as his competitor entered the final. In the fight for a bronze medal, Tigran Kirakosyan will face Belarusian Vladislav Burdz. In the quarter- final of 90 kg weight category, sambo wrestler Ashot Danielyan defeated Valeri Meleaschevich from Moldova, but in the semi-final he lost to Belarusian Andrei Kazusenok. In the fight for the third prize, our sambo wrestler from Stepanakert will face Radvilas Matukas from Lithuania. In women’s tournament, Sose Balasanyan (52 kg) lost to Russian Alla Kharitonova, who later entered the final. Now in the fight for a bronze medal, our athlete will face Magdalena Varbanova from Bulgaria.
