There are 60 million refugees in the world, half of them are children. According to the data of Save the Children organization, there are 12 000 people in Armenia, who have been expelled from Syria. 63 % of working-age citizens are unemployed, 40% live at the expense of former savings. With the support of the British Embassy to Armenia Save the Children has organized exhibition of photos at “Sargis Muradyan” gallery dedicated to World Refugee Day. The photos presented in the exhibition are about inclusiveness, humanitarian aid, volunteering and tolerance. The core of the exhibition is the aid of Save the Children provided to the Armenian refugees, who migrated from Turkey to Syria during World War I. “For me this event is not only the evidence of migration history of Armenians, but also the history of Save the Children as an organization taking care of children in 120 countries of the world,” notes Director of the organization Arsen Stepanyan in the interview with “A1+”.
