“Azerbaijan has turned its refugees into slaves, exhibits” (video)
Living without clear status. Several hundred thousand people have lived in this status for more than 25 years as a result of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. “The issue of refugees must have been an issue for Armenia, which must have been kept in other instances as a political issue,” thinks Chairman of “Against Legal Arbitrariness” NGO Larisa Alaverdyan. Tatul Hakobyan, specialist on the conflicts in the Caucasus, thinks that if for our country no.1 is the issue of refugees’ status, Azerbaijan has other objectives. “Azerbaijan makes use of it very well. Sometimes it becomes immorality, when people’s grief is used for political, geopolitical, inner political and many other purposes.” The fact, that the approach of two Armenian states and Azerbaijan towards refugees is very different, is obvious for the President of Prosperous Armenia Party. “Aliyev declares huge economic growth, but they have turned their refugees, Azerbaijanis who left Armenia, into slaves, exhibits, they keep their refugees in camps.” Details- in the video
