Why Minister of Sport hasn’t travelled to Baku (video)
RA Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Gabriel Ghazaryan considers the participation of Armenian athletes in the European Games in Baku to be normal. “Every day I communicate with them, several times a day. Security, as it has been guaranteed, is maintained,” said Minister. Asked whether Armenian athletes should have gone to Baku, Gabriel Ghazaryan noted that they should have gone, as sport mustn’t be mixed with politics, “It is sport. If it is the First European Games, it doesn’t mean that it is the property of Azerbaijan,” said Minister. It turns out that Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs hasn’t travelled to Baku because of workload and fear wasn’t the reason. “I am ready to go even now, sportsmen don’t have fear,” said Minister.
