Police officers do not allow protesters to approach PSRC building (video)
Over 100 members of the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun youth wing and Armenian Revival political and public union have gathered outside the building of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC). The PSRC is discussing the bids submitted by five major power generating companies in Armenia that seek to increase the consumer electricity tariffs in the country. They demand that the PSRC stop its sitting and come out to discuss the issue with people. A1+’s journalist reports that police officers do not allow the group to come up to the building. They are elbowing them and driving them away from the building. ARF-Dashnaktsutyun representatives say they are going to prevent the PSRC from announcing another illegal increase in electricity tariffs.
