Political expert: “Russia has two problems- дороги и дураки” (video)
Russia hasn’t become a democratic and developed country as it was predicted in the declaration of independence 25 years ago. The desires to recreate the former empire and to have a dominant position in the world haven’t allowed it. Russia was trying to restore the empire: it is important for Putin, as if you don’t recognize the supremacy of human rights, you must give different system of values, it is the way of becoming a subject of a great empire: thinks political expert Aghasi Yenokyan. Analyst Ara Papyan says, “Latest developments show that Russia regresses in terms of democracy, Stalin’s cult, it is an attitude of the people and not a small group.” And such a mentality of people is the result of the authorities’ actions. Aghasi Yenokyan remembers an old proverb, “Russia has two problems- дороги и дураки (roads and fools), the first is the roads- their difficult management, and the second is people, who came into power without democracy.” Today Russia is proud of his grandfathers’ victory, but the specialists think it is high time to live in the present.
