Life-termer stops hunger strike
Lifer Stepan Grigoryan yesterday stopped the hunger strike which he started on June 2 after learning that his request for parole would be considered by the relevant commission in a year. Gor Ghlechyan, Spokesman for the Penitentiary Department at Justice Ministry, says they do not know why Grigoryan decided to stop the hunger strike. Stepan Grigoryan started an indefinite hunger strike shortly after learning the Parole Board of the "Nubarashen" extended the parole consideration for a year and even addressed a letter to Serzh Sargsyan.
