Yesterday’s parliamentary elections held in Turkey differ in the ethnic diversity of deputies, who were elected to the Parliament. Besides Turks and Kurds, for the first time in Turkish Mejlis there will be a Roma and after 54-year interval 3 Armenian, as well as Assyrian deputies. The current parliament has been formed of the candidates from 4 political parties, which participated in the elections. They are the ruling Justice and Development Party, main opposition Republican People’s Party, opposition National Movement Party, opposition pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party.
