Freedom fighter: Shushi liberation operation is adapted to country’s political situation (video)
Zhora Faryan, a unit commander of the Shushi Special Battalion, condemns the attempts of adjusting the operation of Shushi liberation to the country’s political situation. In this context, he reminds the contribution of Zhirayr Sefilyan, one of the key leaders of the “Centennial without Regime” movement, to the national liberation struggle and says the authorities are trying to misinterpret Sefilyan’s deeds. The Karabakh war veteran also recalled the statement of Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan who said recently ‘our battalion executed all tasks and commands.’ “Everything was organized and carried out at the head of Zhirayr Sefilyan,” said Mr Faryan. Taking to A1+ in Yerablur Pantheon on May 8, Syran Ohanyan said that Sefilyan was not commander of the Shushi Special Battalion, but he was commander of 77the Motorized Artillery battalion stationed in Shushi.”
