Khosrov Harutyunyan remembered that HHSh didn’t implement projects in the disaster area (video)
Today at the NA HHK lawmaker Khosrov Harutyunyan announced that he hadn’t approached the tribune to speak about the Russian credit agreement to be provided to the nuclear power plant, but to respond to the slanderous statements addressed to him. By the way, HAK faction secretary Aram Manukyan had made a sharp speech by touching upon Khosrov Harutyunyan’s previous speech, during which he talked about the years of the HHK government and accused of closing the nuclear power plant and “Nairit”. During Khosrov Harutyunyan’s speech Aram Manukyan wasn’t present at the conference hall. “Englishmen say “either nothing about absentees, or only positive”. Let the absentees forgive me, in this case I won’t follow the English saying, as I am sure that they are listening to me,” announced Khosrov Harutyunyan. Then he noted that some people thought that the universe went round them, “I am sorry, let me not agree with that thought. History isn’t the property of anyone. We lived through those days, and I consider myself to be responsible not for the achievements, but omissions and mistakes, unlike some people. That’s why I have never voiced the actions of the past.” Mr. Harutyunyan again reaffirmed his previous thoughts, “Ask any representative of our generation who closed the nuclear power plant, Velikhov? Kokh? It doesn’t matter why it was closed. It was closed under direct political pressure of HHSh. The same relates to the disaster area, where HHSh didn’t implement any projects. I may be accused of much, but not of conjuncture. If I were an opportunist, I wouldn’t resign as Prime Minister, many people dreamed of becoming prime minister. I didn’t long for it.” Then Mr. Harutyunyan announced that no one had ever seen him making his speech so angrily and tried to introduce the 1990s, “During 1992-93 there was 1058 percent inflation. People took to the streets and demanded the resignation of Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Who disappointed the people? Communist Khosrov Harutyunyan, or HHSh member Levon Ter-Petrosyan with his arrogance?” As to his involvement in the HHK list, he announced, “I am in the HHK list due to my professional and political experience. No other suggestion was made to me.”
