People in Armenia and around the world today are commemorating the victims of the Ottoman-era massacres on the 100th anniversary of the first genocide of the 20th century. In the morning of April 24, Serzh Sargsyan together with his spouse Rita Sargsyan visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex in Yerevan to pay tribute to the 1.5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide. Representatives of different countries with yellow flowers in their hands are now approaching Serzh Sargsyan and Rita Sargsyan near the Memorial. The foreign delegates are accompanied by children holding the flag of the country they represent. The flowers then are attached to the wreath. This year, access for the public to Tsitsernakaberd is allowed from 1 pm.
