Russian lawmaker: Russia has always perceived the pain of the Armenian people as its own
“Years cannot disguise everyone’s common pain, the pain will always live in the heart of Armenians,” announced lawmaker at Russian State Duma Galina Karelova during the International Forum at Sports and Concerts Complex. “Russia has always perceived the pain of the Armenian people as its own. Russia stands at the origins of recognition of the Armenian Genocide. I regret to say that there are states, which call into question and act according to their political interests,” noted lawmaker at State Duma. Russian lawmaker thinks that everything must be done in order not to make this topic a reason for conflict, “Unification of efforts must be the priority against the crime of Genocide. We are guided by the principle of maintaining historical memory.” Mrs. Karelova added regretfully that today in many countries Nazism has again increased, “We must together fight also against it.”
