Yervand Manaryan advises people not to push for power change
Well-known actor Yervand Manaryan is sorry to see Karabakh war veteran Zhirayr Sefilyan and his friends in prison. Today the actor participated in a press conference organized by the opposition Founding Parliament movement. The FP members said they are going to sign an agreement with citizens in order to create an alternative government system. However, Yervand Manaryan is not going to sign the agreement. “I do not think that it is a right thing to do. Why should I give my signature, address and passport series?” he said. The famous actor believes that people will achieve their goal one day. “No matter when they do it – tomorrow, in a week or ten years, they will eventually do it.” Mr Manaryan does not agree that a change of government should occur before the fixed time. “Nothing should happen ahead of time; otherwise it will be a failure. People should realize themselves that they cannot live in this way any longer. They should realize that changes are necessary. “We are not going in the right way,” he said in conclusion.
