"All rise! The court is in session" performed in NY

“All rise! The court is in session,” a drama by Armenia’s prominent playwright Perch Zeytuntsyan, was performed by the Tekeyan Cultural Association Mher Megerdchian Theatrical Group in New York within the framework of events commemorating the centennial of the Armenian Genocide. The play recounts the trial proceedings of Soghomon Tehlerian who avenged the extermination of his nation and his family by shooting Talaat Pasha in the head, in Berlin, on the 15th of March 1921. Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of theDiocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern), made a patriarchal message on the occasion. “Staying true to its mission of organizing cultural events, the Tekeyan Cultural Association will present on April 12 Perch Zeytuntsyan’s drama “All rise! The court is in session.” The play directed by multi-talented director Gerald Papasian, who is now living in Paris, is part of numerous events organized by the Tekeyan Cultural Association in connection with the centenary of the Armenian Genocide. The play is about the trial of Soghomon Tehlerian, a vengeful son of the Armenians,” said Khajag Barsamian. The performance was attended by Armenian Ambassador to the US Tigran Sargsyan, Archbishop Yeghishe Gizirian, a senior clergyman of the Eastern Diocese. The play received a  warm welcome from the audience.
