In 1977 the meeting of Armenian three traditional parties and Turkish politicians was held in Zurich. Later member of Hnchakyan Party Avetis Demirchyan wrote, “Turks said that one day they would recognize the Armenian Genocide and would also think about compensation, but they also told not to dream of a piece of land.” “It is the funeral of the Armenian Cause,” historian George Yazechyan told “A1+”. He is sure that today we don’t have answers to many questions. “Today Turks can put down a bait in order to confuse us, they can declare that they want a reconciliation and ask about our claims. I assure a real mix-up will start among Armenians, as we don’t know, we don’t have clear answers to many questions,” highlights Mr. Yazechyan. Today the state must unite Armenians in universal ideas, “Many people say the Armenian Cause, but they don’t imagine what it means,” says Mr. Yazechyan. He is sure that today we even don’t know which our homeland is. He has found 47 definitions for the term “Armenian homeland”, “Do you imagine what a disaster it is”, he says. Mr. Yazechyan wants all the Armenians to understand that there is only one homeland regardless of the fact which country rules it. “For me homeland is the Republic of Armenia, Nagorno Karabakh, Western Armenia, Nakhichevan, Akhalkalaki,” he sums up.
