Report on the ECHR judges selection publicized
“Europe in Law Association” and “Helsinki Committee of Armenia” publicized the results of monitoring of the Contest for Filling in the Position of a Judge to the European Court of Human Rights by the Republic of Armenia. Violations detected as a result of a more in-depth study of the contest were recorded in the report. In particular, the NGOs touched upon the organization of the contest, violations of fairness, transparency and openness of the national procedure for selection of candidates, independence, impartiality of the Commission and situations of conflict of interest, system of evaluation of the contest, violations detected during summarization of results, and a number of other reasons.
