Hakob Hakobyan transferred to Hospital for Convicts penitentiary
Former lawmaker Hakob Hakobyan has been transferred from the Nubarashen prison to the Hospital for Convicts penitentiary. Talking to A1+, Hakobyan’s lawyer Karen Sardaryan said the former MP’s health was deteriorating day by day and he was eventually transported to the Hospital for Convicts. Hakob Hakobyan is complaining of high blood pressure and acute pains in the abdomen. The lawyer is hopeful that physicians will be able to help his client. Hakob Hakobyan was arrested in February 2015 and is charged with illegal entrepreneurial activities and tax evasion.
